Tom's
Basketball Dream
A boy called Tom likes to play basketball
and he likes Jeremy Lin very much.
Because of his height, he never thinks
about joining a basketball team.
He always watches basketball games on TV and
practices the skills that he learns from the games at the backyard alone.
One day, he showed his good skills in the
PE class and his teacher was very surprised to see that.
The teacher asked Tom to join the
basketball teams as he believed that Tom could do well.
Tom was so happy about it and he promised
his teacher that he would always do his best.
At first, his teammates laughed at his
height and didn't think he could play well.
Though Tom felt bad about what they said
about him, he didn't quit.
A month after Tom joined the basketball
team, there was an important game held in his city.
In this game, Tom scored the most points
for the team, so he was excited and his teammates were so surprised.
Ever since then, nobody has laughed at him
again, They even asked Tom how to improve their basketball skills.
Now, Tom is sure of himself and he still
practices hard.
Tom understood that the height wasn't a
problem.
As long as you are willing to reach for
your goal, success isn't impossible.
Tom enjoys playing basketball now and he
wants to be a good player just like his idol, Jeremy Lin.
