UGLY PATT

PATT wasn't a pretty girl.

At school, some naughty boys always made fun of her.

Among all these boys, Will was the tallest and strongest. He told everyone if they interacted with Patt, they'd become ugly too. Therefore, nobody wanted to make friends with her, because they didn't want to become “ugly Patt's ugly friend.”

However, there was someone that talked to Patt everyday, the milkman. His name was Angelo, which meant “ the messenger of God” in Italian

Every day after Patt left the house for school, she said hello to the milkman who was busily delivering milk from house to house. He was friendly and nice.

You can say that Angelo was Patt's best and only friend. But everything was about to change…

This day, Patt put on her best dress and even wore make-up and perfume for school. She had decided that she wanted to be beautiful and perfect. She couldn't stand the solitude and the mocking any more.

When she finally finished dressing she contently opened the door, and saw Angelo.

Much to her surprise. Angelo didn't say anything to her. He couldn't recognize Patt with all her mascara and lipstick.

Patt was very sad about this. She took a bottle of milk with her and rushed to the school bus.

As she'd expected, everyone at school was crazy about her. Not know she was actually Patt, they thought she was a transfer student, giving her the name “New Beauty.”

Although she was now popular, Patt was still sad about the milkman's reaction. Of course she wanted to be accepted, but she wanted her best friend more.

She took a look at her milk. A sentence was some how written on the bottle: YOU ARE PERFECT BEING YOUR SELF. LOVE WHO YOU ARE.

Patt smiled. She didn't forget that “Angelo” meant “ the messenger of God.”

Patt wasn't a pretty girl.

But she loved that about herself. She'd never tired to change who she was ever again.

Barbara's Fantasy

Once upon a time, there was a mouse Barbara. She lived with her family in a big tree hole near a river. She was not an ordinary mouse. She liked to read stories and daydream all the time.

Barbara always thought there was a beautiful world in the sky, where she could fly anywhere she wanted, like a fairy, after eating the rainbow beans. When Barbara told other mice about this, they thought she was crazy and began to stay away from her, but she didn't care.

One night, when Barbara went to bed, she saw something sparkle outside of her window. If fell into her room as she opened the window. She was so surprised because that was a rainbow bean! It also wrote : Eat me! Everything will come true!”

She was very happy and ate it, but nothing happened. She was sad and fell asleep in tears. The next morning, she woke up and saw her room become very different.

Barbara wasn't in her room! She was in the “Cloudy World”! All the buildings were made of clouds. The animals there were very friends to her She made a lot of new friends.

When she was hungry or thirsty, she could eat rainbow candies or drink rain drops. Barbara thought the life there was interesting. In fact, the place looked like a heaven.

Two days latter, she missed her family and old friends, so she waved good – bye to her new friends. 

Barbara thought if she jumped down the clouds, she could go back, so she jumped.

Finally, when she opened her eyes, she found herself in her room. The “Cloudy World” was all a dream, but she had a beautiful memory to carry in her heart!

Where Are My Eggs?

Oh, no! Where are my eggs? They aren't in my nest!” The hen said. So she went to ask her friend, Merry Duck. She said, “Do you see my egg?” Merry Dusk said, “No, I don't.” Next, she went to ask Betty Goose. She said, “Do you see my eggs? Betty Goose said, “No, I don't.” Then, she saw many chicks running to her and said, “Mommy!” She felt so happy to see her babies.

A Bell

A long time ago, there was a princess with a yellow bell. She loves the yellow bell a great deal. But one day, the bell fell in the lake. The princess was very sad. Luckily a frog came to help her out. It jumped in the lake and got the bell. Then the frog gave the bell back to the princess, making her happy once again.
