Sammy's Rainbow World

This is a story about a boy named Sammy.

One day when he got home, he saw something shiny on the street. He was curious, so he went closer.

It was a beautiful necklace.

When he picked it up, all of a sudden, he was over the rainbow.

I t was a colorful world. The sky was violet, the mountains were indigo and the trees were blue. What a beautiful sight!

When Sammy walked further, he saw more and more amazing things, There was a village and many dwarfs living there.

Some of them were picking some crystal fruits from the trees made of gold. Some were catching fish in a green creek while others were singing with birds. These birds were the most beautiful birds that Sam had ever seen.

Sammy found the dwarfs were friendly to him. They swam in the green creek and had some crispy fruits. They fad a lot of fun.

Finally, Sammy asked the dwarfs if they knew who the owner of the necklace was. They told him it belonged to the queen.

They took him to the queen and he returned it to her. The queen was so thankful to Sammy that she gave him a black box as a gift.

The queen told him that he cold fly to the village anytime with boots. That made Sammy feel really grand.

Sammy was very happy and excited. He couldn't wait to see what it was in. To his surprise, it was a pair of flying boots.

From then on, Sammy went over the colorful world from time to time.

Treasure Around Me

There is lots of treasure around us, but most of it has not been found yet.

I wanted to find my own treasure, so I started my journey with my family's support.

The people in my family were very friendly and I loved them very much, but I thought the treasure wasn't there, so I left my home.

First, I went to my school. The teachers were nice here and they taught me lots of things. I walked around my school, but I didn't find my treasure here, so I left.

Second, I went to the beach.

While I was walking along the beach, many beautiful memories came back to my mind. I used to have a wonderful time with my family here.

Before I was about to leave, I met my friend, Sam, who decided to go with me.

Then, we went to the park together. We recalled all the memories that we had before we continued our journey.

I remember that when I was little, I played ball, flew a kite and went on a swing with my brothers and Sam here.

Unfortunately, I still didn't find the treasure here. I wanted to give it up and go home, but Sam told me not do that, so I gave myself the last chance.

I felt hungry after a long day's walk. We decided to have dinner first before taking off again.

I tool Sam to my favorite place for dinner where I went often with my family.

When we had dinner, I suddenly started missing my family. We had lots of fun together and no matter where I went I thought about them.

Finally, I quickly finished my food and ran back home to tell them about the treasure I found was them.

Without them, my life would be sad. So, my family is my treasure.

Tom's Basketball Dream

A boy called Tom likes to play basketball and he likes Jeremy Lin very much.

Because of his height, he never thinks about joining a basketball team.

He always watches basketball games on TV and practices the skills that he learns from the games at the backyard alone.

One day, he showed his good skills in the PE class and his teacher was very surprised to see that.

The teacher asked Tom to join the basketball teams as he believed that Tom could do well.

Tom was so happy about it and he promised his teacher that he would always do his best.

At first, his teammates laughed at his height and didn't think he could play well.

Though Tom felt bad about what they said about him, he didn't quit.

A month after Tom joined the basketball team, there was an important game held in his city.

In this game, Tom scored the most points for the team, so he was excited and his teammates were so surprised.

Ever since then, nobody has laughed at him again, They even asked Tom how to improve their basketball skills.

Now, Tom is sure of himself and he still practices hard.

Tom understood that the height wasn't a problem.

As long as you are willing to reach for your goal, success isn't impossible.

Tom enjoys playing basketball now and he wants to be a good player just like his idol, Jeremy Lin.

A Lesson From a Raindrop

Once upon a time, there was a raindrop named Sarah. She had many friends. They liked to have fun together.

They could become a gas, a liquid or a solid and they felt terrific every day.

One day, when Sarah and her friends played with the clouds, they saw smoke drifting in the sky.

“What’s that? It smells awful.” Sarah said. “We think so, too.” Her friends answered. Then, Sarah and her friends decided to go take a look.'

After arriving at the destination, Sarah and her friends were so surprised that shouted loudly, “Look! There are lots of factories there. And the smoke comes out from the chimney.

“Also, the river next to the factories is polluted. There are lots of garbage, plastic bags and tins in the river,” said her friends.

They found that the reason why there was smoke in the sky was the environment was being destroyed by people.

Therefore, Sarah got an idea to teach the people a lesson. She went back and asked more friends for help.

The next day, it rained cats and gods. And it lasted for three days.

Because of the heavy rain, it caused a fold. Due to the fold, the factories couldn't produce goods. Also, the environment became a mess.

People were so scared that they knew that they did something harmful to the environment.

After that, they started to clean the river and do recycling.

Most important of all, the factory workers reduced the emissions of exhaust gases.

Sarah was so happy that people learned the lesson. From then on, people knew that they had to be nice to their environment.

Naughty Ernie

Long ago, Ernie was a naughty boy. One day, he found a special overcoat while he was cleaning up the warehouse. He had never seen it before, so he tried it on.

After putting it on, he became invisible. “Wow! This is so cool. Now I can do what ever I want and no one would know it.” He was so excited.

He walked down Sesame Street and nobody could see him. Because of the coat, he had many ideas flooding his mind. He went to the supermarket and got a lot of goods, but didn't pay for them.

However, he didn't feel satisfied, and wanted more. He wanted to play some practical jokes. He used his foot to trip people. Many pedestrians fell and got hurt, but no one knew what happened.

When he passed by a building, a woman in the building was watering flowers on the top floor. The water poured on Ernie and he was wet.

He felt angry, so he got a stone and threw it the woman window and broke it. When he saw the angry woman look out find nothing, he was so happy.

Suddenly, a protruding nail on a lamp post ripped his overcoat and he wasn't invisible anymore.

When the people on the street saw him appear all of a sudden, they knew what was going on.

“You have done many bad things and even hurt people. We don’t want to be tour friends,” said Bert angrily. “No, I was just kidding.” Ernie wanted to explain himself, but he knew it was all his fault.

Dear Ernie, we all love toy and want to be your friends, but your bad habit of playing tricks on people is really terrible. If you can promise you’ll never do it again, we’ll still friends with you,” Said Big Bird kindly.

I'm sorry, everyone. I will never do it again. Please give me a chance and still be my friends.” Ernie begged them.

Since then, Ernie changed himself. He stopped playing jokes and was willing to help people. Everyone on Sesame Street was very happy about it, especially Ernie.

Little Fish

A long time ago, there was a little fish named Nancy which was born in the Pacific Ocean.

She was cute, so every or liked HER VERY much.

However, she did not have a healthy body and needed to take a lot of medicine.

One day, Nancy wan ted to go to the human world. Though she tried many different ways, she always failed.

First, she swam to the Taiwan Strait. Oh! No! There a big whale tried to eat her. She was terrified Fortunately, she escaped by swimming hard.

Next, she found herself all alone and she lost her energy. She was hungry and sad.

Then, she drifted to the White Sandy Beach. It was very hot there.

A girl saw Nancy and she shouted, “Mom! Mom! There’s a fish her mother said, “Do you want to keep her?” She answered, “Yes!”

The girl took Nancy home and put her in the bathtub.

To give Nancy a place to stay, she went to the pet shop and bought everything to keep a fish. She put Nancy into an aquarium and fed her carefully.

Nancy was so grateful and she wanted to become the girl's friend. The girl always cared for her and talked to her after she came home from school.

Finally, Nancy felt like a part of the girl's family. She was full of happiness every day.

A Scary Dream

Sue has a wonderful day in the park today. She even caught a little beautiful bird with a net and took it back home.

After she got home, she locked the bird in a cage in her room.

Sue felt tired, so she went to bed early. She said good night to her family and to the little bird. Soon she fell asleep and she had a dream.

In her dream she was in a dark haunted house. She was scared, so she walked around slowly inside. She wanted to go out, but the door was locked.

She had no choice, but continued walking until she found a way out. Then she saw a room. She pushed the door open lightly and saw mummies inside.

She was afraid, so she turned around quickly and quietly.

She kept walking forward. There were lots of bats hanging from the ceiling and they were watching her.

She walked slowly and she saw another room. When she walked in, a witch with a long black gown came out from nowhere and caught her.

The witch was very angry and stared at her with her red eyes.

Sue cried out loud, but no one came to help. She was caught and locked in a cage.

The witch turret her into a bird and told her that it was turn to fell life without freedom.

Suddenly, she heard her mother’s voice from far away calling her name.

She also saw a little light from the distance. When the voice of her mom got close, the light got close, too.

She finally woke up from the terrible dream. She soon jumped out of her bed and ran to the bird cage. 

To her surprise, the little beautiful bird was gone.

Sue told her mom she would learn to respect all kinds of lives in the world from now on.

Who Can Help Me

Hello, I'm a big body of land. I'm always white.

Sometimes, it's dark all long. But sometimes it's bright all here!

Do you know my name?

Bingo! You got my name. I am Antarctica.

I have few friends here. Animals and plants can't stand my coldness, so they leave me alone. Only penguins keep me company Because of them, I’m not lonely. How friendly they are!

Now, I'm in trouble. I don't know what's going wrong with me. I have a terrible disease. Nobody can cure me.

I'm shrinking. Parts of my body become smaller and smaller. Some of them swim away from me and others even disappear.

My penguin friends complain that they have less and less space to play and live on.

I'm so scared that water will take over my body. I know I will take over my body. I know I will sink someday.

Someone says humans don't care for our planet. They don't protect Mother Nature.

They put me in danger. That makes me feel really angry and terrible.

People, I'm going to die. Please help me.

Helping me is also helping yourselves.

Bert's Fantasy Adventure

One day, Bert got up early and went to school as usual.

When he walked by a large TV in a shop window, he looked at the game on it and said, “How I wish to be one of the characters! Then I wouldn't have to go to school every day. “As if by magic, he was sucked into the TV and his adventure began.

He looked around and found out that he was in a city There were many people and tall buildings. The name of the place was “The city of Dreams”.

They said that many people tried to do it, but nobody came back. After a few days, Bert was ready, so he set off his journey to save the mayor.

After traveling for a long time, he arrived at the terrifying forest they talked about. There were many monster s and dinosaurs which would eat anything alive.

Bert used the steel sword and fought with them bravely. He killed all of them and found a huge cave where the people who tried to save the mayor were locked up. They told him that he was kept somewhere else.

Two days later, Bert found the place which a large black bear guarded. He fought the bear and finally won.

The mayor thanked him a lot and promised to let his daughter marry Bert.

Though Bear was proud of what he had done, he wanted to go home. He went to the place where he landed and made a wish sincerely. “If I can get home, I will go to school every day and not complain anymore.”

With a flash, he got back to the street, in front of the TV in the shop window.

He knew that nothing was braver than facing his normal life and went to school happily.

If I Had a Time Machine

 I am forgetful. I always forget to bring my homework to school and I often make mistakes. So, if I had a time machine, I would go ahead to the future. Then I would find out want I would forget to do and what mistakes I would make. Then, when I came back, I would know how to make everything perfect. Therefore, my teachers wouldn't shout at me and my mom wouldn't complain about me. If I had a time machine, I would be a perfect me!

A Bad Habit

I liked to eat cookies and candy very much. Mom asked me to stop doing it, but I didn't listen. One day, I had a bad toothache. Mom checked my tooth and she said I got a cavity. Mom and Dad took me to a dentist. I lay on the chair , opened my month and waited for the doctor. Then he started drilling. I was so scared of the sound of the drill that it felt like a thousand years. After my tooth got fixed, I always brush my teeth after eating something. I never want to go there again!

A Funny Dream

Something funny happened yesterday afternoon. When I was taking a nap, I had a dream. When I opened the door, a dog barked at me and started chasing me. I ran for my life without looking carefully and then I bumped into a big tree and fell over. The dog ran toward me and bit my hand. It was so painful that I yelled, “Ouch!” Suddenly, I woke up and found my younger sister hitting on my head with a toy hammer and hitting my hand, too. Seeing this, I laughed out loud.

An Embarrassment to My Mom One day, my mother and her work friends had lunch at a buffet restaurant. They enjoyed the meal very much. Then she found that there was a dish of delicious pasta on the counter. She quickly went to take it to her table. "Excuse me, lady. This is just a sample!" said a waiter. Oh! My mother put it back in a hurry! Luckily, nobody saw it.
